Hey LTW Warriors!! I see many people hope, dream and wish for their fitness goals to come true. But we all know they won’t happen unless you put in the work.

NOW more than ever, we need to prioritize our health.

It blows my mind that not a SINGLE government representative has instructed everyone to exercise, eat nutrient dense foods and maintain a healthy body weight during this health pandemic.

You have to set goals and take care of yourself….because no one else will do it for you.

That doesn’t mean you have to go on the journey alone. You have your fitness family and our Dream Team by your side every step of the way.

Here’s my Sunday routine and it helps me to squeeze the most out of my week….

#1) PONDER

Sunday is a great day to think about the prior week and the week ahead. Give yourself honest feedback on what you’re doing well and where you can improve.

  • Can you squeeze in more workouts?
  • Can you make time to cook and meal prep?
  • Where are you losing precious time to distractions that aren’t making your life better?
  • Do you notice a specific time of day or trigger that leads to binge eating?

Give yourself a weekly audit and WRITE IT DOWN. Taking pen to paper is magical because it ties your mind to what you’re writing and the problem at hand. It focuses your thoughts and your mind goes to work on solutions.

#2) PLAN

I sit down and literally plan out each day of the week in 60 minute blocks. My whole day is scripted from 5am – 8pm. That might sound like the opposite of freedom but in actuality, it’s the most freeing I can do for myself.

We think that true freedom is having an empty calendar but that’s typically where we don’t make the best decisions. When you’re bored, it’s easy to turn to your phone, TV or refrigerator. When you’re busy with things to do, you get more done.

Plan your workouts, daily movement with kids (for my fellow parents) and add “EAT NOW” or “DRINK WATER” reminders to your calendar or set reminder alarms.

#3) PREPARE

Now that you have a plan for the week, what can you do to prepare and make your life easier? I meal prep, snack prep and even pack my backpack with chargers, notepads, pens and a spare t-shirt and shorts for a workout. I’m completely prepared for the week ahead. We also do a “supply check” of the house and order anything we need on Amazon or InstaCart to stock up the house. On Amazon, I order activity books for the kids, Flavor God, meal prep containers, batteries or any other products we need to buy or that needs to be replaced.

On InstaCart, I do a full shopping and they bring our groceries to our door step. That time savings allows me to not deal with driving to and from the store and more pool time with the kiddos.

These are the three P’s that I follow each Sunday and it’s one of my favorite rituals. I get 80% of it done by 830am (I’m an early riser – 5am) so I can spend the rest of the day with the family.

The final 20% (meal prep) I do in the evening as I make dinner and I’m ready to go for the week ahead. I hope this helps you to dominate your week.

How many workouts are planning to do this week?
